Negative thinking is easy to fall prey to – especially if you’re going through a particularly rough patch. However, negative thoughts only serve to drain you of energy. Inevitably, we will all faces struggles throughout the course of our lives. By allowing ourselves to channel positivity through tough times, we move past, rather than dwell, on our problems.

“If I had only” and “If I had the chance to do it again” are phrases you need to remove from your vocabulary.It makes no sense to worry about something that cannot be changed.Free yourself and choose to let go.
- Practice gratitude.
Try to find gratitude in little parts of your day, and the positivity will inevitably follow.Be it the blooming of the rose bush you planted or the laughter of your children, identify the things that make your life better.
- Stop being the victim.
There is always a way out of a situation, regardless of how hopeless it may seem.You get to create your life, focus on the best version possible.
Giving your time to a worthy cause will raise your own spirits in the process. Volunteering is an excellent opportunity to take the focus off of yourself and put it in other positive places.
- Surround yourself with positive people.
Those you choose to surround yourself with are the biggest influencers in your life.If you’re constantly are those who are complaining, it’s easy for you to do the same.Positive people support and wish for the success of their peers.
- Aim to exercise at least 30 minutes a day.
Exercise positively influences your mood by the release of endorphins. Those who exercise regularly have lower rates of depression and improved self-esteem.
- Find the humor in things.
Smiling improves your mood instantly. Don’t take things so seriously and try to find the humor in all situations.
- Stop the negative self-talk.
Stop with the self-doubt and second-guessing of your decisions.Too often people talk themselves out of achieving goals.You are capable of anything.
